Is It the Winter Blues or Something More?

I don’t know about you, but this time of year makes me want to stay under the covers and act like a hibernating bear. Yes, it's the winter blues. It takes energy and real motivation to get myself out of the cave, but once I do, I’m back to being a contributing member of the human race, and even enjoy my activities. But that’s not true for all of us. For some, getting out of the cave can feel like an impossible labor. Studies find that lawyers suffer depression significantly more often than the general population—about 3.6 times more often. Depression is a serious illness and—unlike the winter blues—it stays with you, no matter the temperature and amount of sunlight outside. Please be aware of the signs of depression. Are you feeling any of these?
