The next Westlaw Next is here; and, it’s called Edge. I’m not entirely sure if that’s an homage to what Microsoft is now calling its browser. I imagine not — and let me tell you candidly that I’m far more impressed with the new developments in Westlaw research than with anything that's come out of (or been destroyed by) Microsoft in years.

You need only speak to a class of first-year law students to get a sense of the depth of their desire to have a positive impact on the world. They want to protect the environment, help the downtrodden and defend the Constitution. They want to promote the common good and serve those who need their help. Their enthusiasm is enough to restore even the most devout cynic’s faith in humanity.
